The approach to this amazing property makes you full of expectations : following the driveway along a large almond grove with some 150 trees and the masseria can be viewed around the corner. Here is like time stood still for hundreds of years and the building, whilst old and in need of restoration is so impressive in its authenticity.
The main entrance takes you into the large lounge with high double star vaulted ceilings. In total there are 14 additional rooms of various sizes, forms and functions and all can ben made communicating with the main building. There is also one trullo with one high roof cone. The gross area is about 450 m² and the net floor area 250 m² and the outbuilding approximately 40 m². The building could also be extended if extra accommodation would be required.
The land over two hectares consist of one part almond grove, one part olive grove and a third part one open green field and here it is possible to use growing vegetables of plant fruit trees.
From the masseria, the beaches of the Adriatic Sea are easily reached in approximately 25 minutes. Villanova is the nearest seaside resort. Torre Santa Sabina a little bit further south is one of the nicest seaside villages. On the coast line there are several seaside resorts with many beaches, restaurants and bars. Further to the south is the beautiful nature reserve Torre Guaceto. It offers an attractive escape from the crowded beach resorts as here you find unspoiled beaches and no cars allowed. The parking is at the visitor’s center and there are organized nature walks, cycle trekking and snorkeling trips.
The property has the advantage of being so close to a main area of world interest – the beautiful “White City” Ostuni (12 km – 15 minutes), the charming Cisternino (10 km – 10 minutes) and to other sites like the caves of Castellana Grotte, the archaeological excavations of the Roman Egnazia by the Adriatic coast line, the trulli of Alberobello – an UNESCO World Heritage site – the medieval town of Oria, the wealthy baroque town of Martina Franca (16 km), the Zoo Safari Park of Fasano, the caves of Polignano a Mare, Grottaglie famous for its ceramics and last but not least the famous baroque city of Lecce which is called the “Florence of the South”. Lecce can be reached in over one hour and has countless churches and a great richness of architecture. In town there is also the famous Roman amphitheatre which is used for music and drama performances in the open during the summer season. Lecce is a wonderful town for long walks, enjoying the fantastic atmosphere, bars, outside restaurants and, naturally, great shops.
